This Omega 310.20.42.50.01.001 is a limited edition Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Speedmaster Moonwatch that showcases a slightly more elevated design via 18-carat yellow gold "Moonshine™" accents, a polished black ceramic bezel insert, and a unique, varnished grey and black dial. The Moonwatch was famously present as humankind took their first steps on the Moon in 1969, a milestone that is celebrated on this stunning 50th Anniversary Omega. The dial is topped with a special sub-dial laser engraved with an image of Buzz Aldrin descending from his lunar module, and the case back features an engraving of Aldrin's footprint along with the wording, "THAT'S ONE SMALL STEP FOR A MAN" and "ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND". This stunning example of the Moonwatch was only produced in quantities of 6,969 and is a highly prized anniversary collector's item.

Leading the way in design, the indexes, bezel, OMEGA logo and almost all of the hands have been created in 18K Moonshine™ Gold - a new patent-pending alloy that is a paler hue than traditional yellow gold and offers high resistance to fading.

Two Apollo 11 tributes are found on the dial. A number “11” features in 18K Moonshine™ Gold at 11 o’clock. More notably, the 9 o’clock subdial shows Buzz Aldrin climbing down onto the lunar surface. This 18K Moonshine™ Gold subdial is blackened and laser-engraved.

One small step! The blackened decorative inner caseback shows Buzz Aldrin’s laser-engraved footprint on the lunar surface, while Neil Armstrong’s legendary quote is written in 18K Moonshine™ Gold-plated lettering.
